The First Sunday after Easter.
Hosea 6.1-3
In
tribulatione sua mane
Come, and let
us return unto the LORD: * for he hath torn, and he will heal us;
He hath
smitten, * and he will bind us up.
After two
days will he revive us: * in the third day he will raise us up,
And we shall
live in his sight. * Then shall we know, if we follow on to
know the LORD:
His going
forth is prepared as the morning; * and he shall come unto us as the rain,
As the latter
* and former rain unto the earth.
The
Collect.
ALMIGHTY Father, who has given thine
only Son to die for our sins, and to rise again for our justification; Grant us
so to put away the leaven of malice and wickedness, that we may always serve
thee in pureness of living and truth; through the merits of the same thy Son
Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.
Grant, we beseech Thee, Almighty God: that we who have
celebrated the solemnities of the Lord’s resurrection, may, by the help of Thy
grace bring forth the fruits thereof in our life and conversation; through the
same, Jesus Christ, Thy Son, our Lord, who liveth and reigneth with Thee and
the Holy Ghost: ever one God, world without end. Amen (Brotherhood
Prayer Book).
