CHRIST our passover is
sacrificed for us : therefore let us keep the feast; Not with the old leaven,
nor with the leaven of malice and wickedness : but with the unleavened bread of
sincerity and truth. 1 Cor. v. 7
Christ being raised from the dead dieth no more :
death hath no more dominion over him. For in that he died, he died unto sin
once : but in that he liveth, he liveth unto God. Likewise reckon ye also
yourselves to be dead indeed unto sin : but alive unto God through Jesus Christ
our Lord. Rom. vi. 9
Christ is risen from the dead : and become the
first-fruits of them that slept. For since by man came death : by man came also
the resurrection of the dead. For as in Adam all die : even so in Christ shall
all be made alive. 1 Cor. xv. 20.
Glory be to the Father, and to the Son : and to the
Holy Ghost; As it was in the beginning, is now, and ever shall be : world

ALMIGHTY God, who through
thine only-begotten Son Jesus Christ hast overcome death and opened unto us the
gate of everlasting life; We humbly beseech thee, that as by thy special grace
preventing us thou dost put into our minds good desires, so by thy continual
help we may bring the same to good effect; through Jesus Christ our Lord, who
liveth and reigneth with thee and the Holy Ghost, ever one God, world without
end. Amen.

Personal Reflections:
This morning I was rummaging through the internet looking pictures to use that
portray the Resurrection. I was struck that there were two or three modern
images where Jesus is coming from the tomb and looks like a ghost. He is
pictured as levitating, feet not touching the ground, body somewhat
transparent, etc. Dear friends, this is a travesty! The Faith once for all
delivered to the saints has always help that Jesus came forth from the tomb,
body, blood, toenails and hair. As the Westminster Confession of Faith
rehearses what Scripture teaches: “On the third day He arose from the dead, with
the same body in which He suffered” (VIII.4). This is why we can face death,
because we believe that whatever happened to Jesus will happen to us, “20 For
our conversation is in heaven; from whence also we look for the Saviour, the
Lord Jesus Christ: 21 Who shall change our vile body,
that it may be fashioned like unto his glorious body, according to the working
whereby he is able even to subdue all things unto himself” (Philippians
3.20-21); or again from the Westminster Confession of Faith, “At the last day,
such as are found alive shall not die, but be changed: and all the dead shall
be raised up, with the self-same bodies, and none other (although with
different qualities), which shall be united again to their souls for ever”
(XXXII.2). His soul or spirit didn’t rise; he came forth from the tomb fully
and physically alive, never to be subject to mortality again, never to suffer
death or dying (Romans 6.8-11). He is risen! He is risen indeed!

MY SOUL truly waiteth still upon God : for of him cometh my salvation.
2. He verily is my strength and my salvation : he is my defence, so

broken hedge.
4. Their device is only how to put him out whom God will exalt : their
delight is in lies; they give good words with their mouth, but curse with their

5. Nevertheless, my soul, wait thou still upon God : for my hope is in
